IF YOU WANT TO GET STARTED MAKING MUSIC... The NEVER TOO LATE sessions at the music camp are just for you! NEVER TOO LATE, created by Carroll Smith, Lake Wales, Florida, has been a wonderful success and a great addition to our camp learning schedule. Carroll Smith himself began playing music when he was over fifty years old. Today he is a wise, witty, and beloved old-time banjo picker and a philosopher with much that is important to teach those who are beginning in music, at whatever age. This class is an important feature of our music camp and should not be missed by those who need (sometimes more than they know) to hear what Carroll has to say and experience what he has to show them. We plan two sessions, one Saturday and one Sunday, scheduled so that almost everyone can work in at least one session. Bring your instruments. We may even play a tune. But mostly we will tackle a wide range of topics related to beginning to play music at any age. Discussions will be frank, open, and directed to people who want to get started playing music, but already have a full life doing something else. Insecurities, fears, stage fright, jam phobias, all are fair game. Come, be prepared to be candid, and clear away the cobwebs that can hold us back from a full enjoyment of music performed by ourselves. NEVER TOO LATE IS OPEN TO ALL, OF EVERY AGE. |
