BUNKS / CAMPING / MOTELS
| Where will I sleep while I'm at the camp? That's a question asked frequently enough that we've decided it merits a little section all its own! There are four possible answers: |
| Camping.The Boyd Hill Environmental Studies Area in St. Petersburg, where the music camp is held, is a large (100-plus acres) nature preserve with lots of room for tent camping! There is no additional charge for camping, so come and enjoy!
Recreational Vehicles, camper vans, and similar vehicles.At the Boyd Hill Environmental Studies Area in St. Petersburg, where the music camp is held, there is ample room for R.V.'s, camper vans, and similar vehicles. Sorry, no hookups available. There is no additional charge for parking R.V.'s or other camp vehicles.

 | Bunks in bunkhouses. Each of these cabins on the camp grounds contains ten fairly spacious bunks, five lowers and five uppers. There is a total of about sixty bunks. The bunkhouses are rustic, without electricity, so bring flashlights or battery-powered lanterns. |
| (No fires allowed in the buildings.) Central restrooms/shower rooms are modern and do have electricity, good lighting, and laundry facilities. The big bunkhouse porches provide places to be in case of rain. Of course it is not going to rain! Bunks are available to registered students first, then others, on a first-come first-served basis. E-mail rainbowpr@juno.com for availability. Motels. Although the music camp takes place in a gorgeous natural setting, the park where it is held is within St. Petersburg, Florida. On a major street just a few blocks from the camp are located several motels. All listed motels are within very short driving distances from the camp. It should be noted that the Sunshine State Acoustic Music Camp does not recommend or approve any accomodations outside of the park where the camp is held. You should check out motels and other sleeping arrangements in the same way you would at any other time. |
